SteelSheet Pile Latch, Water-tight

Lassensteel cofferdam includes foundation pit cofferdam and submerged cofferdam,which are mainly used for construction projects with high waterproofrequirements such as foundation pit and bridge cap, pump station, wharf, riverregulation and dyke. Specific to the problems of large deformation of steelsheet pile latch joint and loose engagement of latch when the submergedcofferdam of steel sheet pile leaks water, various measures should be adoptedfor leakage stoppage.

Solution I: Wrap the steel sheetpile with waterproof color strip cloth and keep it close to the steel sheetpile under water pressure to resist water.

Solution II: After all steel sheetpiles are erected and when pumping water to build the cofferdam, based onpractical experience, pump water and mix dry fine sand and saw dust with wetsand below the joint simultaneously, and absorb fine sand into the joint underwater pressure to stop leakage.

Solution III: Fill the joint withcotton after installation.
